The Cobbs Creek Campus is an industry-leading restoration project that includes a multitude of golf and community amenities built on a first-of-its-kind model for social impact funded by golf. Led by the Cobbs Creek Foundation, this state-of-the-art golf and educational campus provides opportunities for not only the community of Philadelphia, but golf aficionados around the world.
At the center of this legendary landmark’s revitalization is the restoration of the historic 18-hole Olde Course, led by the design team of Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner. Hanse will also lead the design of the new 9-hole Karakung Course. In combination with the TGR Design Q School short course, the final campus restoration will have a magnificent 36 holes. In addition to these best-in-show greens are several golf and entertainment facilities: this past December brought the opening of the Lincoln Financial Center, a cutting-edge two-story golf entertainment center/practice facility powered by TopTracer technology, and Little Horse Tavern, the Charlie Sifford-inspired bar and restaurant.
And at the the heart of it all: the 30,000 sq. ft. Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab for education and development provides STEAM learning and educational opportunities for thousands of local students annually.
The new Cobbs Creek honors its historic roots while embracing modern advancements, transforming these glorious 350 acres into both a world-class destination for golf and a campus of opportunities.

Originally designed by celebrated golf architect Hugh Wilson (of Merion Golf Club fame) and the home course of Hall of Famer Charlie Sifford, Cobbs Creek will regain its status as a top public golf course.

A revitalized Cobbs Creek includes new state-of-the-art facilities that are community hubs:
- Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab (Now Open): Serving more than 4,500 local students annually, this innovative space offers free STEAM education and career development programs for grades 1–12, helping shape the next generation both on and off the course.
- Lincoln Financial Center (Now Open): Practice and play like never before with a 68-bay driving range powered by Toptracer technology, plus a fully stocked pro shop and Little Horse Tavern, our Charlie Sifford–inspired bar and restaurant.
- TGR Design Short Course – “Q School” (Coming Soon): Designed for accessibility and fun, this course will support youth programming while offering an engaging experience for golfers of all skill levels.
- The Historic Olde Course (Reopening Fall 2027): Carefully restored to reflect its original design, this iconic course will once again offer a timeless playing experience rooted in tradition.
- 9-Hole Karakung Course (Coming in 2028)
